Getting started with Scannable.

Download the app.

Download our free app from the App Store or Google Play.

01

Click the "Sign Up" button in the App to create an account and start saving equipment to your kit list.

02

Find equipment to add to your kit.

Search for equipment in the search bar, or try scanning the packaging barcode.

03

Select the item.

Find the item you want to add and select it, then select "Add".

04

Add the serial number.

Capture the serial number by typing, or scan 2D codes such as Petzl and Courant's data matrix, then tap "Save serialised product to kit".

Select "View product" to see your serialised item, perform an inspection, or add an NFC tag.

05

Add NFC Tag.

When viewing the item in your kit list, select "Options" then "Add NFC".

Tap your phone against the tag. You might have to find your phone's NFC "sweet spot". This is usually along the top of your phone, sometimes toward the top back or top front. It can take a little patience trying to figure out exactly where your phone's NFC antenna is, but once you've got it, you're sorted!

For more info on our NFC Tags and how to apply them, check out this blog post.

06

The item is now in your kit list.

From the app's home screen, click "NFC" to scan an NFC tag.

Clicking "Scan" will allow you to scan a 2D code like a Petzl datamatrix, or you can search by serial number.

You can access your kit list by clicking the bottom right Kit List icon.
